DESCRIPTION:The calculation of posterior parameter distributions using\nBa
yesian techniques requires repeated likelihood evaluations and can\ntheref
ore be both computationally expensive and time-consuming. We will\ndescrib
e an approach to faster likelihood evaluation based on reduced order\nquad
ratures. A reduced spanning basis for the model space is first\nconstructe
d and then a quadrature rule for that reduced basis is developed.\nThe qua
drature rule is typically cheaper to evaluate than the full\nlikelihood\,
allowing accelerated follow-up. We discuss the application of\nthese techn
iques to the follow-up of gravitational wave candidates\nidentified by the
  LIGO interferometers.
