DESCRIPTION:I present a kinematic analysis of the Galactic thin and thick 
 disks based on\nRAdial Velocity Experiment (RAVE). Thin and thick disk com
 ponents are\nconsidered as two distinct galactic populations and disentang
 led from their\nmixture with analytical and statistical method. The prospe
 cts and\nlimitations of this method are explored with the use of photometr
 ic\ndistances and proper motions and compared with a phase-space synthetic
 \nGalactic model.\nI deduced the components of the solar motion relative t
 o the local standard\nof rest in the radial and vertical direction\, the v
 elocity lag of the thick\ndisk and the components of the velocity dispersi
 on tensor for the thin and\nthick disk in the meridional plane.
