DESCRIPTION:We discuss two recent attempts to tackle the famous cosmologic
 al constant problem (CCP). We begin with a discussion of the problem\, hig
 hlighting obstacles towards solving it before introducing our two distinct
  models. The first of these is the Fab Four model\, which is able to absor
 b the cosmological constant through self-adjustment of a scalar field\, an
 d whose cosmology we have recently begun to develop. The second of these i
 s a novel new idea that eliminates the troublesome role played by particle
