DESCRIPTION:Cheating and plagiarism have become very serious problems in s
chools and colleges alike. Cheating can be seen as any action that violate
s the rules for administering a test. It can take a wide variety of forms
and may involve any of the stakeholders in the testing process including c
andidates\, their teachers and those responsible for administering the tes
 t. Teachers\, examination boards and their agents clearly have a responsib
ility to discourage cheating on their tests and to minimise it wherever po
ssible.\n\n\nDr Ardeshir Geranpayeh (Cambridge English) will explain the c
oncept of cheating and plagiarism\, the context under which they happen\,
what is at stake\, and the reasons underlying this increasingly widespread
phenomenon. The standards for the prevention of cheating and various meas
ures to control this phenomenon will also be discussed.\n\nOrganised by Ca
mbridge Assessment Network\, the event is free to attend and is open to al
l members of the public. Read more about the talk and register to attend \
