DESCRIPTION:This is based on my current joint work with Y.Komori\, K.Matsu
 moto and H.Tsumura. The first half of my talk is to review and discuss bas
 ic properties of complex multiple L-functions and those of their special v
 alues at integer points. Based on them\, in the second half\, I will expla
 in our construction of p-adic multiple L-functions which generalizes that 
 of Kubota-Leopoldt's p-adic L-function and then will show their several ba
 sic properties particularly on their special values at both positive and n
 egative integer points.\n\n
