DESCRIPTION:Although AMI was designed specifically for studying galaxy clu
sters via the SZ effect\, it has also been used extensively for studies of
galactic objects such as spinning dust and compact HII regions. I will p
resent some of the first results from the AMI Galactic Plane Survey\, a la
rge-area survey of the outer galactic plane providing arcminute resolution
images at mJy sensitivity at 15 GHz.\n\nI will also provide an update on
AMI’s observing programme following up galaxy clusters detected by Planc
k\, and the use of these observations to investigate the accuracy of commo
 nly used ‘universal’ pressure profiles.\n
