DESCRIPTION:The Larch Environment is a research project aimed at exploring
  alternate\nforms and representations for computer programs\, beyond plain
 -text based\nsource code that is in use today. To this end\, we have devel
 oped an\napproach for embedding visual\, interactive elements within code.
  As a\nconsequence we retain the benefits of textual source code\, while p
 ermitting\nthe use of visual programming for specific domains and instance
 s where it\nis beneficial. Our system presents the user with an interactiv
 e\,\nnotebook-style programming environment. Internally\, it is supported 
 by a\ndeclarative presentation system and a simple type coercion based\nMo
 del-View-Controller architecture.\n
