DESCRIPTION:Today the Nd isotope signature of deep currents in the Atlanti
 c relates to their direction of flow. I will use Nd isotope records\, reco
 nstructed from sediment cores from the NW\, NE and S Atlantic\, to infer p
 ast variations in current direction. I will then discuss the possibility o
 f calculating past watermass mixing using a combination of Nd and carbon i
 sotope records.
