DESCRIPTION:From 2016\, it will be the UK Government’s mandatory require
 ment that level 2 Building Information Modelling (BIM) will be required on
  all public sector contracts.  A number of companies have already adopted 
 BIM and are realising the benefits.  However a significant proportion of c
 ompanies especially contractors and SME’s remain uncertain about the req
 uirements\, costs and practical implications of BIM.  \n\nBIM is claimed t
 o be the most important development in the industry for a very long time. 
 However\, there is a lot confusion and lack of understanding about what a 
 BIM-driven project actually entails and its impact on all the key stakehol
 ders.  This seminar will present the UK Government’s requirements for 20
 16 before examining the key issues in BIM-driven project delivery .\n
