DESCRIPTION:Elliott More (CTM) and Carlos Lopez-Gomez (CSTI) are going to 
 talk about their experiences of being involved in the UK Government's Futu
 re of Manufacturing project. The Foresight project is examining the role o
 f manufacturing both in the UK and globally over the next 40 years. The pr
 oject is championed by Vince Cable (Secretary of State for Business\, Inno
 vation and Skills) and will deliver policy recommendations in Autumn 2013.
 \n\nIn this talk\, Elliott will present the outcomes of three internationa
 l workshops where experts in US\, Asia\, and Europe were convened to ident
 ify major drivers of change that will impact the manufacturing sector. Car
 los will discuss his experiences of attending the Asian workshop and the c
 losely related work of CSTI on manufacturing futures.\n\n\n
