 glish samplers in the Museum’s collection\, made by poor schoolgirls in 
 the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Discover what the samplers can te
 ll us about the social and cultural environments in which these young need
 lewomen lived\, as well as the personal stories of the girls who made thes
