DESCRIPTION:The conjectured relation between higher spin theories on AdS s

 lating a specific higher\nspin theory on AdS3 to a family of 2d minimal mo
 del CFTs. Finally\, I shall describe\nrecent progress towards relating the
 se higher spin theories to string theory.
