DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will first discuss how to describe elastic de
 formations\nin systems with partial translational orders and orientational
  orders. \nI will then discuss how to incorporate the effects of thermal a
 nd quenched fluctuations into elasticity theory.\nFinally I will address t
 he anomalous elasticity of ideal nematic elastomers in presence of \ntherm
 al as well as quenched fluctuations. \n
