DESCRIPTION:I will present a summary of the scientific and technological p
 rojects that are being developed at IGN\, in the fields of Astronomy and S
 pace Geodesy.  Our department\, which includes the National Astronomical O
 bservatory\, and the Technology Development Center in Yebes Observatory\, 
 is engaged in studies of star formation and evolution in our galaxy\, stud
 ies of external galaxies\, using (and developing technology for) ALMA\, He
 rschel satellite\, IRAM\, and our 40-m radio telescope as a station of the
  European and global VLBI networks.  Moreover\, the RAEGE project has rece
 ntly started to participate in the construction of the Global Geodetic Obs
 erving System (GGOS) supported by IAU and IAG for accurate measurements of
  plate tectonics\, Earth orientation parameters\, and reference frames.\n
