DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to welcome Richard Longdon\, CEO of AVEVA to
  speak to Cambridge Network members on Wednesday 25th September 2013 \n\nR
 ichard Longdon\, Chief Executive\n\nRichard Longdon received an engineerin
 g training in the defence industry then gained experience in the project m
 anagement of high value engineering projects.  He has held a number of sen
 ior sales and marketing roles with international companies. He joined AVEV
 A in 1984 and shortly afterwards was made marketing manager for the proces
 s plant division.  In January 1992 he relocated to Frankfurt where he was 
 responsible for founding the Group’s first overseas office. He returned 
 to the UK as part of the management buyout team in 1994\, subsequently tak
 ing responsibility for the Group’s worldwide sales and marketing activit
 ies at the floatation of the Company on the London main market\, before be
 ing appointed Managing Director in May 1999.  He became Group Chief Execut
 ive in December 1999\, during which time AVEVA revenues have grown from £
 18m to £220m.  AVEVA Group is a member of the FTSE 250.  Richard is also
