DESCRIPTION:Cell division is an essential process for all organisms\; it e
nables growth\, tissue repair and reproduction. The cell division cycle is
highly regulated and precisely timed. In order for cell division to take
place\, DNA must be accurately and efficiently replicated. Non-coding Y RN
As are crucial for the initiation step of chromosomal DNA replication in v
ertebrates. Y RNAs' levels are higher in human tumour tissues in compariso
n to normal tissue. Little is known about the intercellular cellular local
isation of Y RNAs during the cell cycle. My work focuses on studying the i
ntercellular localisation and dynamics of Y RNAs during the cell cycle.
