DESCRIPTION:In this talk we shall show how to pass from a large system of 
 small\, interacting spheres\, to the heat equation in the limit when the n
 umber of spheres goes to infinity (in the low density regime). The proof u
 ses the convergence to the linear Boltzmann equation as an intermediate st
 ep. \n\nThis is a joint work with Thierry Bodineau and Laure Saint-Raymond
 .
