DESCRIPTION:Conventional X-ray CT has garnered great popularity for a broa
d\nrange of clinical imaging applications. Recent advances in hardware\nde
velopment towards energy-resolved X-ray CT\, also referred to as spectral
CT\, have unlocked a new dimension of X-ray CT imaging. In particular\, K-
edge CT can be used to selectively and quantitatively image contrast agent
s loaded with so called K-edge materials. In this talk\, this emerging ima
ging technique is introduced and the task of image reconstruction in spect
 ral CT is discussed.\n
