DESCRIPTION:Night ventilation is increasingly applied to help make buildin
gs more resilient to a warming climate. While this can be achieved through
mechanical ventilation\, taking advantage of the natural forces of buoyan
cy and wind to night-ventilate 'naturally' offers potentially significant
cost and energy savings.\n\nThis talk describes an approach to naturally n
 ight-ventilating multi-storey atrium buildings\, using displacement ventil
ation\, to achieve optimal 'purging' of the warm air that fills the buildi
ng at the end of the day.
