DESCRIPTION:While Energetic Materials Research has a significant bias towa
 rds defence\, it is an international field.  However the need to protect n
 ational interests could dramatically reduce the amount of in depth interac
 tion. All countries have tried to develop ways of working together\, recog
 nising all the difficulties and barriers. It is therefore possible to work
  closely and effectively with labs throughout the world and the ways of do
 ing this as well as the opportunities for such work will be described and 
 discussed. These are changing rapidly and some information on the European
  Defence Agency will be provided.
