DESCRIPTION:The recently-established Inkjet Research Centre at the Departm
ent of Engineering is supported by EPSRC and a consortium of eight industr
ial partners. Its aim is to develop an improved understanding of generic p
roblems associated with fluid-nozzle interactions in the widely-applicable
industrial process of inkjet printing. Academic partners in the project i
nclude the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Applied Mathematics and
Theoretical Physics at Cambridge\, as well as the Universities of Manches
ter\, Leeds\, Durham and Aberystwyth. The talk will focus on the basic pri
