DESCRIPTION:Internet services appear to be converging to a model where dat
 a\nand functionality mostly reside in the cloud and ISPs offer\nubiquitous
  access to this vast pool of resources.  What is\nusually convenient may c
 reate limitations (e.g.\, when the\nInternet isn't quite as accessible) or
  bring have undesirable\nside effects (e.g.\, content mining or censorship
  by third\nparties).  We present a platform for opportunistic communicatio
 n\nthat relies on mobile user devices and low-cost infrastructure\nowned b
 y users to create and dynamically grow a user network\nto complement the I
 nternet\, initially at rather local scale.\nThe present implementation fea
 tures Raspberry Pis as autonomous\n"liberouters"\, instruments (not just) 
 Android smart phones for\nstoring and forwarding data\, and offers a distr
 ibuted app store\nas an autonomous market place.
