 eme for the Michaelmas term is "Energy" and the PdOC society has invited P
 rof David MacKay to launch the series.  Professor MacKay\, acclaimed autho
 r of "Sustainable Energy Without The Hot Air"\, is the Regius Professor of
  Engineering at the University of Cambridge and Chief Scientific Advisor t
 o the Department of Energy and Climate Change.\n\nThe ‘Crossing the Barr
 iers’ lecture series aims to promote University of Cambridge postdoc res
 earch visibility by offering an environment to exchange ideas\, concepts a
 nd views across different fields of research.\n\nThe lecture is open to al

 om all disciplines are invited to come to the lecture and afterwards for a
 n exclusice dinner at Robinson College.  Tickets cost £22 for a welcome d
