DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, we present a different perspective to understan
 d critical-like behaviour\, in the context of Information Theory. The crit
 ical point\, understood as the thin region of the space of parameters sepa
 rating two different phases\, turns out to be the best choice when a syste
 m is used to infer the behaviour from another complex source. Finally\, we
  relate this result with some real systems in nature.
