DESCRIPTION:We report on recent and ongoing work on the\ncontinuous-time w
 eakly self-avoiding walk on the 4-dimensional\ninteger lattice\, with focu
 s on a proof that the susceptibility\ndiverges at the critical point with 
 a logarithmic correction\nto mean-field scaling.  The method of proof\, wh
 ich is of\nindependent interest\, is based on a rigorous renormalisation\n
 group analysis of a supersymmetric field theory representation\nof the wea
 kly self-avoiding walk.  The talk is based on\ncollaborations with David B
 rydges\, and with Roland Bauerschmidt\nand David Brydges.
