DESCRIPTION:"Nothing tends to imprint chemical facts upon the mind so much
as the exhibition of interesting experiments"
                                                            Samuel Parkes\,
1816\n\nThis spectacular Chemistry lecture and demonstration will excite
and stimulate young and old alike. Colin Baker will perform some classic C

, not to mention unusual applications of chemiluminescence. \n\nColin Bake
r\, Director of Studies at Bedford School\, was awarded the Salter's Insti
tute Medal in a competition to find the country's best Chemistry teachers.
He has lectured at the Universities of Birmingham and St Andrews and has
shared the stage with Nobel Laureate\, Professor Sir Harry Kroto FRS at Lo
ndon University. In Jan 2006 he was awarded the prestigious Shaw Medal for
maintaining the tradition of the demonstration Lecture. The medal and lec
