DESCRIPTION:Professor Chris Rapley CBE is Professor of Climate Science at 
 University College London. He is a Fellow of St Edmund’s College Cambrid
 ge\, a visiting Professor at Imperial College London\, a Distinguished Vis
 iting Scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena\, Califo
 rnia\, a member of the Academia Europaea\, and “Chair-elect” of the Eu
 ropean Space Agency Director General’s High Level Science Policy Advisor
 y Committee. In January this year was appointed Chair of the London Climat
 e Change Partnership\, committed to ensuring London’s resilience to clim
 ate change.\n\nHis previous posts include Director of the Science Museum L
 ondon\, Director of the British Antarctic Survey\, and Executive Director 
 of the International Geosphere Biosphere Programme (IGBP) at the Royal Swe
 dish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm. \n\nHis current interests are in th
 e communication of climate science\, and the psychology of climate dismiss
