DESCRIPTION:Electron-phonon interaction is often neglected in nanoelectron
ics\, even though the nanostructures are usually embedded in solids with s
izable electron-phonon coupling tensors. In this talk I will present a seq
uence of experiments in GaAs-based heterostructures which demonstrate poss
ible ways of how phonons affect the functionality of nanoelectronic device
 s. My special focus will be on phonon-mediated interaction effects in quan
tum dot based qubits including detector backaction and interference in pho
non absorption. Finally\, I will demonstrate the capability of coupled qua
ntum dot systems as single phonon detectors.\n\nrelated publications:\n[1]
