DESCRIPTION:Organic and metalorganic materials play a seminal role in the 
 function of non-linear optics\, solar cells\, and optical switching techno
 logy. Yet\, the full richness of functional information in their electroni
 c structures most often lies latent. This talk shows how one can derive op
 tical properties from molecular structure to benefit such technological ap
 plications.
