DESCRIPTION:Jaclyn Rajsic completed her D.Phil. in English at the Univers
 ity of Oxford in January 2013. Her thesis examined the ideological role a
 nd re-shaping of mythical British history in short chronicles and genealog
 ies of England's kings written in Anglo-Norman\, Latin and English from th
 e twelfth to the fifteenth century.\n\nThis talk will focus on the clashes
  between Galfridian and Bedan chronologies\, and how the authors of some o
 f these rolls try to resolve those incompatibilities. There will also be s
 ome discussion about materiality and the importance of the roll format for
  these short narratives.
