DESCRIPTION:Inventing novel methods of making fine bubbles\, particles\, c
 apsules and fibres of the micro-nano scale is an essential part of modern 
 advanced materials science and engineering.  The quest to make these struc
 tures in a reproducible manner with high productivity and process control 
 is a hot topic of many worldwide research laboratories.  These structures 
 play an important part in key areas like healthcare engineering which is o
 f a very high utilitarian value and public demand.  The Biomaterials Proce
 ssing & Forming Laboratory at University College London has been at the fo
 refront of this research and this talk will illustrate how these developme
 nts are currently taking place at great pace.
