DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will consider fermionic atoms confined to a q
uasi-two-dimensional geometry. First\, I will expose the behaviour of the
pair correlations at high temperature by determining the spectral function
and contact within the virial expansion. The calculated spectra are in qu
alitative agreement with recent photoemission measurements\, thus suggesti
ng that the observed pairing gap is a feature of the high-temperature gas
rather than being evidence of a pseudogap regime just above the superfluid
transition temperature. I will further investigate the effect of the quas
i-two-dimensional confinement and show that the higher confinement levels
 can substantially modify fermion pairing.
