DESCRIPTION:Carlijn’s main interest is in socioeconomic inequalities in 
 health. In her research\, she investigates socioeconomic inequalities in h
 ealth and health behaviours\, with a specific interest in outcomes related
  to physical activity\, obesity\, and quality of life. She looks into poss
 ible explanatory mechanisms for these inequalities\, e.g. the role of perc
 eived and objective neighbourhood characteristics\, cultural differences b
 etween socioeconomic groups\, and differences in social networks.
