DESCRIPTION:The production of gauge boson (W\, Z\, gamma) pairs provides a
rich set of processes with which the Standard Model can be tested. Diboso
n processes are background for many processes predicted by many BSM models
\, making precise knowledge of their production cross sections very import
ant for discovering new physics. Dibosons also serve as a good way for lo
oking for new physics in a more general and model independent fashion via
anomalous triple gauge couplings (aTGCs). This talk will focus on the pro
duction of pairs of Z bosons\, and analysis via the decay channels ZZ->llv
v\, and ZZ->lll'l'. I will discuss the analysis in detail\, describing ev
ent selection\, background estimates and parameter extraction techniques l
eading up to a measurement of the ZZ cross section 7 TeV with 4.6 fb-1 of
data with the ATLAS detector. I will also present unfolded\nspectra and l
imits on anomalous triple gauge coupling parameters. The status of the ZZ
analysis at 8 TeV with 20.3 fb-1 will also be summarized. The talk will
conclude with an overview of ATLAS electroweak results.
