DESCRIPTION:The CGHR Research Group is a forum for graduate students and e
arly-career researchers from any department and disciplinary background re
searching issues of governance and human rights in the global\, regional\,
and national contexts.\n\n*Abstract*\n\nIn Mexico human rights education
and training programmes are becoming one of the most recurrent outcomes of
the official settlements regarding institutional violations and abuses of
human rights. Despite their predominant role in addressing human rights v
iolations there is little systematic information on how these programmes a
re conducted in practice. To fill this gap\, the paper presents a cross-ca
se analysis of three qualitative case studies that explore practitioners
’ professional knowledge and practices in implementing human rights educ
ation programmes in Mexico. Each individual case examines some of the chal
lenges practitioners face in the implementation of these programmes\, the
institutional influence on their work\, and the role of their own experien
ces in human rights their practices. The findings of this analysis show ho
w practitioners develop their own professional knowledge through the imple
mentation educational and training programmes and how they make sense of h
uman rights from their teaching practices.\n\nMore information on the seri
