DESCRIPTION:This training event will be particularly beneficial for awardi
 ng body subject staff and assessors involved in setting assessment materia
 l\, providing examples of successful and unsuccessful items\, how they are
  identified and what questions to ask about the assessments on which they 
 work. \n\nIt is an introduction to test and item evaluation covering the i
 tem level statistics used across a range of Cambridge Assessment’s quali
 fications. It introduces the concepts of omit rates\, facility values\, di
 scrimination indices\, bias or Differential Item Functioning\, and analysi
 s of multiple choice items. Parts of the session are delivered in a worksh
 op style to allow participants to build confidence in interpreting statist
 ical analysis of assessments. This session assumes a basic knowledge of st
