DESCRIPTION:This training event will be of interest to anyone interested i
 n wanting to gain a better understanding of the concept of assessment reli
 ability\, how it is conceptualised\, calculated and how it should be inter
 preted. It is aimed at those responsible for the development and quality c
 ontrol of assessments. \n\nThis event provide an overview of the ways in w
 hich the reliability of a test is conceived and calculated. It includes an
  introduction to the relationship between reliability and classical test t
 heory. The reliability of marking and reliability relating to the choice o
 f questions included within an examination will both be covered. It explor
 es the different ways in which reliability can be presented to an external
  audience and discusses the advantages/disadvantages of each. It also look
 s at which factors may affect the reliability of a test.\n\nThis training 
 event will give you an understanding of the concept of reliability\, how i
 t is calculated\, how to interpret reliability statistics\, factors that w
 ill affect reliability\, and potential methods of making assessments more
