DESCRIPTION:I will talk about recent progress in understanding the role of
  exceptional duality symmetries in D=11 supergravity\, which points to new
  geometric structures based on the exceptional groups as well as providing
  an\nappropriate framework for studying the relation between D=11 supergra
 vity and D=4 supergravity theories.
