DESCRIPTION:Despite network monitoring and testing being critical for comp
uter networks\, current solutions are both extremely expensive and inflexi
ble. This talk proposes an architecture for an extensible\nOpen-Source Net
work Tester (OSNT)\, running on the NetFPGA-10G open-source hardware platf
orm. It also describes the effort to enhance the measurement capabilities
of the OFLOPS switch performance evaluation framework. OSNT enhances OFLOP
S with sub-μsec precision and 40 Gbps full bi-directional traffic generat
ion and capturing\, providing a highly flexible and open platform for Open
Flow experimentation at high data rates.\n
