DESCRIPTION:Brumer and Kramer have formulated a conjecture on the modulari
 ty of abelian surfaces involving paramodular Siegel modular forms. I will 
 report on joint on-going work with Lassina Dembele\, Ariel Pacetti and Hal
 uk Sengun to provide further evidence for this conjecture\, using theta li
 fts of Bianchi modular forms.
