DESCRIPTION:In biology\, localisation is function. Cells display a complex
\nsub-cellular structure with numerous distinct niches responsible for\nsp
ecific biological processes. Consequently\, not only must proteins be\npre
sent to accomplish their biological functions\, but they must be\nlocalise
d at their intended sub-cellular locations. In contrast\,\nmislocalised pr
oteins can have serious advert consequences. We will\nreview and understan
d how contemporary experimental and computational\ntechnologies can be use
 d to create sub-cellular localisation maps for\nthousands of proteins.\n\n
