DESCRIPTION:The Ziegler spectrum of R is a topological space associated to
  the category R-Mod of (left) modules over a ring R.  The aim of this talk
  is to introduce the spectrum with an emphasis on the points themselves - 
 that is\, the isomorphism types of indecomposable pure-injective R-modules
 .\n\nUsing an example from the representation theory of finite-dimensional
  algebras we hope to illustrate how the (infinite-dimensional) pure-inject
 ive modules often arise naturally alongside their finite-dimensional count
 erparts.  This is one of the many properties that has motivated the study 
 of pure-injective modules\, and hence the Ziegler spectrum.
