DESCRIPTION:The next St Catharine's Political Economy Seminar in the serie
 s on the Economics of Austerity\, will be held on Wednesday 19 February 20
 14 Robert Chote will give a talk on 'The crisis\, the consolidation and Br
 itain's public finances'. The  seminar will be held in the McGrath Centre 
 at St Catharine's College from 6.00-7.30 pm. All are welcome.\n\nROBERT CH
 OTE is Chairman of the Office for Budget Responsibility\, the UK's officia
 l  fiscal watchdog. Previously he served as Director of the Institute for 
 Fiscal Studies\, as an advisor to senior management at the International M
 onetary Fund and as Economics Editor of the Financial Times.\n\nCONTENT: T
 he seminar will discuss the evolution of the UK's public finances since th
 e outbreak of the recession and the financial crisis\, and the prospects f
