DESCRIPTION:Wireless devices are increasingly deployed in smart vehicles.
As well as supporting user devices using Wi-fi and Bluetooth (for example)
\, manufacturers are looking to reduce the weight of in-vehicle wiring by
deploying wireless sensor networks to monitor and control some aspects of
the vehicle and the environment within it.\n\nThe inside of a vehicle can
typically be thought of as an electromagnetic cavity\, with the shell form
 ing a highly reflective boundary. This\, however\, creates a fundamental p
roblem- the propagation of electromagnetic waves in cavities is not necess
arily analogous to that in well understood existing wireless communication
s channels. \n\nIn this talk\, two questions are addressed:\nHow can we mo
del the in-vehicle wireless communication channel ? \nWhat is the informat
ion capacity of this channel ?
