DESCRIPTION:The next session of the ongoing Screen Media Group seminar ser
 ies in which Dr. Mark Goodall (University of Bradford) will be presenting 
 'George Perec's Scene of a Flight: Mnemotechnics on Screen'. Dr. Goodall i
 s a senior lecture at the University of Bradford whose books\, "Gathering 
 of the Tribe: music and heavy conscious creation" (2013)\, and "Sweet and 
 Savage: the world through the shockumentary film lens " (2006) present exe
 mplary studies of media produced by counter-cultural movements.\n\nThis se
 minar presents a continuation of the ongoing Screen Media lecture series M
 nemotechnics and the Archive\, which considers the ways in which individua
 l\, institutional and social memories have been understood to relate to me
 dia forms that participate in their inscription\, subversion\, perpetuatio
 n and effacement.\n\nGeorges Perec was a French novelist\, essayist\, film
 maker\, and documentalist whose works such as 'La Vie mode d'emploi' and '
 La disparition' (infamous for having been written without the letter 'e') 
 are as innovative as they are challenging.\n\nThe Screen Media Group at CR
