DESCRIPTION:Following the financial collapse\, governments and internation
al organisations promised that finance would be reined in. New regulation
would prevent a repeat of the mistakes that precipitated the longest rece
ssion of the past century. \n\nAfter five years of discussions\, protest
s\, lobbying and new rules\, the Cambridge Society for Economic Pluralism
asks whether what has been done at the UK and European level is enough. Ha
s finance\, with its enormous political and economic power managed to wate
r down all the talk of financial reform that was so popular five years ago
? Or has too much been done\, so that these regulations will prevent a hea
lthy long term economic recovery ?\n\nPlease Join our panel to discuss the
se issues.\nEntrance is free.\nDrinks Reception after the event.\n\nFor mo
