  that you worship" (16:114)\n\nPhysical nourishment is paramount to our we
 ll-being and ability to survive\, but we often overlook the spiritual cons
 equences of what we actually consume on a daily basis. With the food indus
 try becoming increasingly commercialised and less about what is wholesome 
 and good for the human\, it is more important today than ever before to un
 derstand the wide ranging effects of what enters our bodies. In what promi
 ses to be a truly captivating talk\, Shaykh Yahya Rhodus will provide Isla
 mic insights into this contemporary issue that affects all of us\, in orde
 r that we are able to have a deeper appreciation with regards to the spiri
 tuality and ethics of food.\n\nShaykh Yahya Rhodus was born in Kansas City
 \, Missouri. At the age of 19\, he embraced Islam in Santa Clara\, Califor
 nia. He travels regularly teaching\, lecturing\, and conducting weekend se
 minars with institutes such as the Deen Intensive Foundation. Currently st
 udying his PHD in Theology at Cambridge\, Shaykh Yahyha Rhodus is one of m
 ost prominent and prolific Islamic scholars in the West.
