 *Conflict-Sensitive Education (CSE) Training Seminar*\n\nThis 2-hour train
 ing session is designed for researchers\, policymakers\, practitioners\, a
 nd students engaged with education\, politics\, and/or policymaking in con
 texts affected by violent conflict.\n\nUsing a global training module deve
 loped by the INEE (Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies)\, pa
 rticipants in this workshop will be introduced to the concepts\, principle
 s\, and tools of “conflict-sensitive” educational planning and deliver
 y. Drawing on international case studies\, the session will include collab
 orative application of CSE tools to contemporary conflict contexts. \n\nKe
 y questions that will be addressed include:\n\n-	How may educational plann
 ing and delivery unintentionally contribute to conflict and violence?\n\n-
 	Through what strategies can educational planning and delivery processes m
 itigate conflict dynamics?\n\n-	How does “conflict-sensitive education
 ” different from “peacebuilding education”?\n\n-	What wider relevanc
 e does “conflict-sensitivity” have for education in “non-fragile” 
 contexts?\n\n-	What political and economic implications does the adoption 
 of conflict-sensitive approaches to education have?\n\nEvaluation of the t
 raining by participants will be used by the INEE to finalize the module ah

 ergencies (INEE) is a global network created to promote education in confl
 ict-affected and fragile states. The INEE advocates for children’s right
 s to safe and quality education in crisis settings\, and develops policy a
 nd practice guidelines for “conflict-sensitive” educational provision 
 among conflict- and crisis-affected populations. For more information on t

  training will be delivered by Sara Clarke-Habibi\, a PhD candidate in Edu
 cation and Gates Cambridge Scholar. Sara has more than 10 years’ experie
 nce working on education in conflict-affected contexts. She is an active m
 ember of the INEE and the Cambridge Peace and Education Research Group (CP
 ERG). \n
