DESCRIPTION:Babel is a routing protocol that cleanly separates a loop-free
routing core from multiple metric computation modules and route selection
policies. Because of that\, Babel has been used in different kinds of ne
tworks\, as well as in hybrid networks -- networks that have different pro
perties at different places.\n\nIn this talk\, I will describe how the Bab
el routing core avoids creating transient loops. I will also describe a n
umber of metric computation modules\, as well as its route selection polic
 y. I will also describe our recent work on extending the protocol to new
 situations\, notably source-sensitive routing and delay-based routing.\n\n
