  College when Dr Pascal Girard (Reims) will speak about ‘Conspiracy Theo
 ries in France and Italy during the Cold War and Decolonization’. Dr Gir
 ard’s paper will explore how in the late forties and in the fifties\, co
 nspiracy was a significant concern in French and Italian politics. \nDr Gi
 rard will describe how the “red scare” greatly varied depending on the
  period\, the political affiliation or the country\; and the main long-las
 ting conspiracy theory actually concerned the threat of the far-right and\
 , to a certain extent\, of the government itself. \n\nThe event will be fo
